Synopsis

Ghulam-E-Mustafa is a 1997 Bollywood Crime Action Drama film directed by Partho Ghosh, Starring Nana Patekar and Raveena Tandon in the lead role, it was produced by P.G. Shrikanth and Dinesh Gandhi under the S.G.S. Cinearts International and Eros International banners. Set in the early 1996s, Ghulam-e-Mustafa is an action, crime and sad-love story centering around the turbulent and tragic relationship between Gangster Mustafa and Dancer Kavita, a relationship which come to an end with the death of kavita due to his field. It was average film of 1997 despite of having mix to positive reviews movie fails to impress on Indian Box Office earning 8.9 million rupees upon its release despite a 11 million rupee budget.

The movie can undoubtedly be counted among the best movies done by Nana Patekar. This is also one of the better works of the director, Partho Ghosh. The movie has a great deal of emotions and touches the viewer at many places. It not only entertains, but also gives good messages of communal unity and crime never pays.
